Hands and Voices is dedicated to supporting families with
children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing without a bias
around communication modes or methodology. We're a
parent-driven, non-profit organization providing families
with the resources, networks, and information they need to
improve communication access and educational outcomes
for their children. Our outreach activities,
parent/professional collaboration, and advocacy efforts
are focused on enabling Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing
children to reach their highest potential.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Quota International of Northside Atlanta is offering a $5,000 scholarship for one Deaf or hard of hearing student diagnosed with a moderate to profound hearing loss who plans to attend college for the 2012 – 2013 school year.
Applicants should excel academically and be active in extra-curricular activities including, but not limited to, school clubs, community organizations, working and volunteering. The application must be returned to the following address by March 10, 2012.

The Center for Accessible Technology in Sign (CATS) is a joint
project between the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf and the
Georgia Institute of Technology. CATS is dedicated to providing
accessibility to learning via sign language. CATS' goal is to
enhance language, literacy and general world knowledge for deaf
users, particularly children. CATS has been awarded the American
Library Association Grolier Foundation Award, 2004. http://cats.

• CATSoft provides access to software designed with the deaf
learner in mind. You may download, use, copy, and distribute this
software for free. It may not be sold.

activities to promote vocabulary, memory , signed stories, sign
rhymes.
